Preservation services are conducted in the home which promote child safety, reinforce family structure, and developmentIn the performance of all tasks and duties it is expected to conform to the following:
Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervisionInteract professionally with other employees, clients and community partnersWork effectively as a team contributor on all interactions and assignmentsWork independently while understanding the importance of constant communication and coordinating work efforts with management and staffFollow all time lines given by A Place to Call Home and the DepartmentMaintain strict confidentiality regarding individuals and families with whom you workMaintain absolute confidentiality of agency staff meetings, administrative communications, agency strategies and agency service trade secretsAbide by A Place to Call Home policies regarding abuse/neglectAdapt to every changing and last-minute changes in schedules, job requirements and assignmentsSeek or request information about job responsibilities or additional training as needed from the Program Supervisor/ Director and/or administrationContinuously evaluate the satisfaction and service delivery, of the individual's receiving services and strive to maintain or improve current servicesContact the administration immediately with any concerns or problemsFollow personnel practices which include but are not limited to:
Reporting to work on time as scheduledAbide by the company's policies and proceduresRefraining from excessive absenteeismObtaining prior approval by following protocol when over-time or time-off is desiredMaintain a professional relationship with client families and keep a positive customer service attitude while resourcing and providing servicesRepresent the agency and the agency's best interest in all interactions and communications with families, state employees, and contract entities; in a manner consistent with the agency's philosophy, directives and established practicesPerform any additional job duties as requested by administration Qualifications High school diploma required, Bachelor's degree in social work or related field preferredTraining and experience in interpersonal communication preferredExperience with filing paperwork for government support aid a plus About our Line of Business StepStone Family and Youth Services provides the full spectrum of support to children in need of alternative, safer and more positive living environments with residential and family services.
StepStone connects children and youth who need homes with foster families, as well as foster care training, respite care and support services.
For young adults transitioning from foster care to independent living, StepStone provides personalized guidance and training on basic life skills, including money management, life skills and education.
